Perpetuating the memory of one of the greatest men of the Victorian age
The William Morris Society was founded in 1955 to make the life, work and ideas of William Morris (1834-96) better known. Our purpose is to share knowledge of the life and works of William Morris amongst our members and the wider public. We do this through our publications, events, education programme, library and exhibitions of work by and relating to Morris.
We are delighted to welcome you to our very first online exhibition, Highlights from the William Morris Society’s Collection, we invite you to watch our introductory video below and to then explore twenty unique objects from our collection that illustrate how Morris became one of the most significant figures in the Arts and Crafts Movement.
